Technical topics and speaker guidelines

Speakers must provide:
  • A short biography (150 words).
  • An abstract (100–200 words) summarizing the paper and its relevance to tissue makers and converters.

Presentation topics:
Abstracts should align with one of the following preliminary topics:
  • Papermaking developments
  • Sustainable improvements: Energy reduction and savings
  • Wrapping, packaging, and logistics
  • Pulping, fibers, and raw materials
  • Innovation and process improvements
  • Auxiliary components in tissue making

Preferred track:
Speakers may indicate a preference for presenting on the Tech Talks stage or in the Technical Conference Sessions. While the review committee will strive to accommodate these preferences, session placement cannot be guaranteed.

Abstract submission deadline:
Submit your abstract as soon as possible to increase your chances of being included in your preferred technical track. The final deadline for submissions is 3 October 2025.
Guidelines for presenters:
  • Present innovative or improved technology relevant to tissue making and converting.
  • Focus on benefits and results—presentations highlighting only features will not be accepted.
  • Keep the presentation concise, engaging, and impactful. Avoid overly detailed scientific discussions; instead, emphasize key takeaways for tissue makers and converters. More details can be shared at your booth during the event.
Guidelines for presenters:

  • Priority will be given to papers developed in collaboration with mill personnel as case studies.
  • Presentations must be non-commercial—sales pitches are strictly prohibited. Focus on technology and its practical applications for the tissue industry.
  • Presentations must not exceed 15 minutes. Adhering to this time limit is mandatory.
  • If your abstract is accepted, the final presentation must be submitted to gerry.dunphy@informa.com no later than 25 October 2025.
Technical Conference Sessions:
  • Some submitted abstracts may be selected for the Technical Conference Sessions, an integral part of the main conference.
  • These sessions will be open exclusively to registered conference delegates.
  • Technical sessions will span over the conference days of the event and will not coincide with the TECH TALKS.
  • Authors are invited to submit abstracts focusing on compelling, innovative, or improved technologies and solutions. Presentations should emphasize benefits and results rather than solely outlining features.
